Guadarrama's Big Week Leads to #AEHoops Weekly Honors

BOSTON – Hartford, New Hampshire and Vermont all earned wins last week and are three of eight #AEHoops teams to have won at least five non-conference games prior to Christmas, a first in league history.

Here are the week #7 men’s basketball awards:

Player of the Week
Nick Guadarrama, New Hampshire – So., Forward, Newington, Conn.
  • Averaged 20.5 points, 6.5 rebounds and 2.0 assists in a pair of games last week.
  • Shot 67 percent (16-of-24) from the field.
  • Had a double-double of 21 points and 10 rebounds in a win over Marist on Wednesday.
  • Scored 19 points at UConn on Sunday.
  • This is Guadarrama’s first #AEHoops Player of the Week honor of his career.
Rookie of the Week
Miroslav Stafl, Hartford – Fr., Forward, Liberec, Czech Republic
  • Scored 14 points and added four rebounds to lead Hartford to a comeback win over Cornell on Sunday.
  • Had six points in the Hawks’ game-ending 23-7 run, including the go-ahead basket late in the game.
  • This is Stafl’s first career #AEHoops Rookie of the Week honor.
